WHAT IS A CERTIFICATE OF SPONSORSHIP AND WHO ISSUES IT?

A certificate of sponsorship is an electronic document which is self-certifying, issued by the sponsoring employer to the worker to allow them to apply for a visa and get on boarded in the company. This certificate must be assigned by every sponsor to every foreign national that they employ. 

This COS is issued by the holder of sponsor licence (employer) to every prospective employee which enables them to apply for a sponsored worker visa further. 

The sponsor of the worker will issue this through the Online SMS ie. Online Sponsor Management System and a defined COS takes almost a day to come through.
